My name is Liz Jones-Twomey. I have been teaching for 23 years in the Kitchener/Waterloo region in Ontario. I have taught a variety of combinations of grades from Grade one to Grade 8.  I am currently teaching a combined grade one and two class. I really love teaching and couldn’t imagine not being a teacher. It is my every intention to stay in these early grades for the rest of my teaching career.

Ron Hiller (RONNO) and I met in Teacher’s college. Throughout the years, I have been his educational advisor and researcher. In the early years we did a lot of workshops on children and music and literacy. It is my hope when you read this blog you will get practical teaching ideas you can use immediately in your classroom. I have been fortunate to do a lot of international presenting and taking courses in the past 25 years. Most of my courses have focused on Brain Gym, Brain Development, and the Child Development in general. People are always asking me to put my knowledge of the brain and practical applications into a book. I thought my blog might just be the best way to give you little tidbits of information I have learned along the way.  I am a very down-to-earth person, so what you see is what you get. When I write, I imagine I am writing to friends, so this will be a very informal blog. I hope you like it and find it helpful.
